1. The Service
MyGlobalVault™ is a personal information vault operated by My Global Vault (Reg. No. 2026/641330/07) that lets you store AES-256 encrypteddocuments, credentials and instructions, and optionally release them to a nominated recipient through our Pulse check-in system. The Service is available to users worldwide, subject to these Terms and to any laws that apply where you use it.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for:
- keeping your sign-in credentials confidential;
- the accuracy of information you upload;
- all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to store or transmit content that is unlawful, infringes a third party’s rights, or that you do not have authority to disclose to your nominated recipient.
3A. Document copies and certification
My Global Vault is a secure document-storage service. It stores digital copies of the documents you upload, including a digital copy when the uploaded document was already certified. The Service does not certify, authenticate, notarise, legally verify, renew or extend the certification of any document, and does not make an uploaded document an original or certified copy. You are responsible for checking the receiving organisation’s requirements, and we do not guarantee that a stored or downloaded copy will be accepted as an original or certified document.
4. Pulse & recipient release
You acknowledge that the Pulse feature is a convenience tool. While we apply reasonable technical measures to deliver release events on time, we do not guarantee that a missed pulse will trigger a release within any specific timeframe and recommend that you also make conventional legal arrangements (e.g. a valid will).
A missed Pulse never causes documents to be released automatically and never causes anyone to be treated as deceased. It only opens a claim, notifies you first, and gives you a cancellation window.
4A. Claims, verification and controlled release
Where you or a Trusted Recipient opens a claim, the process is as follows: every claimant must verify control of their email address with a one-time code; they must then upload proof of their own identity together with proof of the event (a death certificate, a medical or legal certificate of incapacity, or a court or executor authority); a member of our review team assesses that documentation and records a determination.
You decide in advance what, if anything, can ever be released. The default is nothing. Approval of a claim releases only the specific documents you authorised for that specific recipient beforehand. We do not disclose your vault contents, item counts, or the existence of any document to a claimant. Release happens through a secure portal that requires a fresh one-time code on every visit and creates download links that expire within minutes. Access already granted can be withdrawn.
Our determination is an administrative decision for operating the Service only. It is not a legal finding of death, incapacity, executorship or inheritance rights, and it does not replace any official document, court order or registry decision.
4B. Account freeze, hold and 30-day deletion
Where a claim results in a recorded death determination, your account is frozen: it can no longer be used to view or change vault content. When such a claim is completed, a 30-day deletion countdown begins, after which vault content and files are erased. A minimal, non-content record of the claim is retained for accountability.
An incapacity determination places the account on hold instead and never starts a deletion countdown. A hold is lifted only after the account holder re-verifies their registered email with a one-time code and our review team approves the request. A Pulse check-in on its own does not lift a hold.
Documentation submitted with a claim is stored securely, used only for the review, and then deleted: 90 days after a rejected, cancelled or closed claim, and 12 months after a completed claim.
5. Plans, pricing & in-app purchases
My Global Vault is free to download, register and use. On the Free plan you can store up to 5 documents, with a maximum of 10 MB per document, across all vault categories. There is no separate total-storage quota on your account.
Lifetime Premium is an optional one-time in-app purchase of US$14.99 (product ID vault_lifetime_premium) processed through your app store’s billing system. Your app store shows the equivalent price in your local currency, which takes precedence over the US dollar reference price. It lets you store up to 100 documents (still 10 MB maximum per document, with no separate total-storage quota), and unlocks unlimited Trusted Recipients, all vault categories, secure document sharing, encrypted backups, biometric login, priority support and all future Premium features. Document allowances are stated limits rather than unlimited capacity, so that the Service remains sustainable for every user. There are no subscriptions and no monthly fees — the purchase is recorded against your My Global Vault account, so Lifetime Premium bought in one app store is recognised when you sign in to the same account on another platform.
🔒 One secure payment. Lifetime access. No subscriptions. No monthly fees. All future Premium features included at no extra cost.
A Restore Purchase option is provided in-app to re-activate Lifetime Premium on a new device using the same app store account. All payments, refunds, cancellations and billing disputes are handled by your app store (Google Play on Android, the Apple App Store on iPhone) under your app store’s refund policy. My Global Vault does not directly process card payments for the in-app purchase.
5A. What “Lifetime” means
“Lifetime” means for the lifetime of the My Global Vault service, and not for the lifetime of any person. It is a one-time purchase with no renewal, but it is not a guarantee that My Global Vault or the company operating it will trade or operate forever, and it does not create a fixed contractual term.
If we ever permanently discontinue the Service, we will give you reasonable advance notice at your registered email address, and a reasonable period in which to sign in and download or export the documents you have stored, wherever it is reasonably possible for us to do so. Where discontinuation is forced on us by circumstances outside our control (for example insolvency, a legal prohibition or the loss of an essential supplier), we will do what is reasonably practicable in those circumstances. Nothing in this clause limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your own country.
6. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are materially breached or where we are required to do so by law. Lifetime Premium entitlements are attached to your My Global Vault account and are not transferable.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for Lifetime Premium (US$14.99 or its local-currency equivalent), or nil if you are on the Free plan, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, where My Global Vault is registered. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under the laws of the country in which you use the Service.
